  “Books Alive, From the Page to the Stage”

Hello March!
During March, we celebrate Pick A Reading Partner (PARP). Our theme this year is "Books Alive!" Please join us as we explore and use our imaginations to see where books can take us. Oh! The places we'll go!

Students received a calendar with daily reading/literacy activities and a reading log to complete for the month.  We also have some fun events planned this month to celebrate. We will be kicking off PARP with a K-2 Dr. Seuss themed dance, and a 3-5 Candyland themed dance.  Throughout the month there will be assemblies focusing on growth mindset and books coming alive. We encourage at least fifteen minutes per day with a reading partner.
We are continuing our district-wide kindness initiative in March.  Now through May, Alfano PTA is collecting gently worn shoes for our shoe drive to raise money for our school and to help spread an act of kindness by paying it forward.  We encourage you to attend the next PTA meeting to stay up to date on events and programs happening at our school.
