Principal’s Message

Mrs. Carmen Vazquez - Alfano Elementary Principal

Dear Alfano families,

Hello November! I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful autumn season. As we enter November, our halls are filled with the warmth of learning and community spirit. This month brings shorter days but more extended opportunities for growth as our students continue to make remarkable progress in their academic journey #AlfanoGrows.

I'm particularly excited to announce our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive from November 10 through November 25. Our Social worker will partner with various classrooms to assemble food baskets to help families in need during the holiday season. Students can bring non-perishable food items to their homeroom classes. Last year, our community's generosity made a significant difference, and we hope to surpass that impact this year. Your participation helps our neighbors and teaches our students valuable lessons about compassion and civic responsibility.

Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure every child receives the support they need to learn and grow socially and academically. In November, we will have several fun events, including the Free Book Fair, Penny Wars, Veterans' Day Breakfast, Bingo Night, and Kindness Day.

We encourage you to play an active role in your child's education. Attendance matters, and it’s imperative that students attend school every day. Please remember to check your child's home folder for important communication from our school. Also, please stay connected with your teacher via Parent Square.

I want to express my gratitude to our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and hardworking students. Your collective efforts make our school community a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Warmly,
Mrs. Vazquez
