Superintendents Message

Thank you for supporting the 2025–2026 Central Islip School District Budget. This budget represents an investment in our children’s education by providing a safe and enriching environment, while also maintaining the structural integrity of our school buildings, grounds, and facilities. It remains within the New York State 2% Tax Levy Cap and reflects a fiscally responsible plan that aligns with our community’s capacity to support a wide range of programs—including academics, athletics, music, instructional technology, advanced placement, and intervention services—designed to help all students achieve their personal best.

School social workers are an integral link between school, home, and community in helping students achieve academic success. They work directly with school administrations as well as students and families, providing leadership in forming school discipline policies, mental health intervention, crisis management, and support services.

As part of an interdisciplinary team to help students succeed, school social workers also facilitate community involvement in the schools while advocating for student success.
