The Central Islip School District officially began its 2026-27 school year on Tuesday, September 1. Every school building welcomed students back with open arms after a restful summer vacation, with staff and students excited to begin another successful school year together.

Competition Subaru of Smithtown generously donated school supplies to Alfano Elementary Schoool students on Thursday morning in preparation for the upcoming school year.
The donation will help students start the new school year with essential supplies and was a thoughtful show of support for the Central Islip School District and its students.
