We want to extend our best wishes for a happy and healthy new year. After a long, well-deserved break, it is a pleasure to see all our students, teachers, and staff back.

We will have Parent-Teacher Conferences on January 16th and 17th.  This month, Report Cards will be available digitally on the parent portal; therefore, it is important that all parents/guardians sign up for the Parent Portal to access report cards. 

We are accepting 2025-2026 PreK Lottery Applications from January 1st   – February 3rd. Applications are available at all Central Islip schools and on the CIUFSD website. Any parent interested in participating in the lottery should complete the application either online or you may bring the application to Alfano's main office.  

The PTA will be hosting a Paint Night for PreKindergarten—2nd Grade on January 9th. We look forward to seeing everyone during Paint Night.   Our PTA Meeting and Student of the Month awards will be held on Monday, January 27th at 6pm in the Alfano gymnasium. 

As the temperature dips here in New York, children must dress appropriately to come to school and play during recess. Coats, hats, mittens/gloves, and boots are a must this time of year. It is essential to check your child's home folder for any important communication from our school. Please stay connected with our school and your child's teacher via Remind.
